XENPOD Dispersible Tablet contains
Cefpodoxime Proxetil IP - Equivalent to Cefpodoxime 100 mg, Potassium Clavulanate diluted IP - Equivalent to Clavulanic acid 62.5 mg


XENPOD Suspension 50 mg dry syrup each 5 ml contains
Cefpodoxime Proxetil IP - Equivalent to Cefpodoxime 50 mg, Potassium Clavulanate diluted IP - Equivalent to Clavulanic acid 31.25 mg


Product Description
XENPOD is a fixed dose combination of Cefpodoxime Proxetil and Potassium Clavulanate. Cefpodoxime Proxetil is an orally administered, extended spectrum, semi-synthetic third generation cephalosporin and Clavulanate potassium is a betalactamase inhibitor


Indications
Cefpodoxime /Clavulanate Potassium is indicated in the treatment of
- Upper & lower respiratory infections
- Uncomplicated skin infections
- Urinary tract infections


Dosage
Cefpodoxime and Clavulanic acid should be used only to treat or prevent infections that are proven or strongly suspected to be caused by bacteria susceptible to the combination.

XENPOD should be taken with food to enhance absorption of the drug.
The recommended dosages of cefpodoxime, duration of treatment and applicable patient population are as described in the product leaf.
